Though we’re reluctant to admit it, both Christine and I find ourselves making statements followed by the phrase, “I’m getting old.” Now, we aren’t really THAT old, but the gulf between the adults we are now, and the adults we thought we were as teenagers and 20 somethings is growing wider each day.
So, to feel better about it all, we’ve gone and found the humour in the horror of aging and slapped it on our lovely new set of birthday greetings.
One of two things will happen when you take a look at them.
- You will “get it”, groan with agreement, and hopefully laugh
- You won’t “get it”, and celebrate that you aren’t old! (Yet)
Truthfully, I can co-sign on almost all of them. My particular favourite is the one about packs of teenagers. If I had a lawn, I’d probably tell them to get off of it, too.
