Five For Friday – Holy Paper!

Or more specifically, die-cut objects and paper crafts. Just another amazing collection of items with intricate cut designs in a variety of applications.

The first is my favourite (ok, I couldn’t save it for last) – Carrie Bike Basket from Relish, a small boutique in Portland, Oregon. The store was founded by Trisha Guido in 2001, after 10+ years in technology sales & marketing. She wanted to start a more creative and personally satisfying venture… Hmmm, sounds oddly familiar.

Anyhow, back to the bike basket. I don’t know what’s prettier – the basket itself or the shadows it makes when the light shines through.Relish_Basket_500w

Or Venucci placemats, die-cut pieces of felt in solid colours. Make a statement or interesting conversation at your next dinner party with bold red, black or white.Venucci_Placemats_500w

Did you know Vera Wang had a line of stationery? Yes, what a smart business woman she is – crossing over into stationery for weddings or everyday. These die-cut greeting cards are simple and elegant (and force you to write a more concise message with less space). Find her collection online, as sold through Kate’s Paperie.VeraWang_Cards_500w

Make your home look extravagant with removable wall tattoos from Surface Collective. Led by Rod Tasaka, Principal and Creative Director, I couldn’t resist these fancy peacock feathers that bend around corners. Love the art direction of the photo too!SurfaceCollective_decals_500w
