Five For Friday – In the Kitchen

In celebration of the US Thanksgiving, thought we’d break out the stationery to keep the cook organized. This holiday, impress the in-laws with skills not only in the seasoning department, but also the planning. Or for those with kitchen-phobia, motivate yourself to cook with some awefully cute kitchen cards.

Every great recipe deserves a great home. Find that with a Charles Fradin recipe box with gold embossing and 7 letterpress dividers. Divine!

Mix and match recipe cards with these great finds from Dingbat press…

and literally, domestic cats by Boy Girl Party. You can also find comical dog recipe cards in our older post here. So adorable! or not…. cats with knives?!?

Or go practical with a spiral bound recipe book. I recently bought a Martha Stewart cookbook and I have to say, her team does a great job of art direction and photography – but they kind of forgot about functionality. Glue bound cooking book?!? I guess I shouldn’t complain about a $20 cookbook…

Anyhow, Small Square Design has this cute book for sale in their online shop!

And my favourite of all, the meal planning calendar by kikki.K. When my brother and I were living at home, my parents had the right idea with their calendar mocked up on graph paper. They didn’t have trouble deciding what to cook, but had more of an issue knowing who was at home which day to eat. Either way, this meal planner does the trick!
