Lindsay + Grant

Working on Lindsay + Grant’s wedding invitation was a bit of a departure from our typical style but it was really fun and we always welcome the chance to stretch our design muscles.

Over a few months of collaboration, Lindsay’s design vision became more clear. We went through a couple iterations of colour and design elements before settling on the look of watercolour florals and something romantic but not too formal for her spring wedding.

Since peonies were going to be in her bouquet, having them as part of the invitation would tie everything together nicely. To keep it fresh and modern, the peony illustrations were done in both the watercolour style and as simple line drawings. This helped to add variety without being too busy. In a palette of cream, gold and pinks, I just love how it all came together. The shimmery envelopes added that special touch.

Once we completed the invitations, it was easy to translate the design to other pieces such as her table names (highlighting BC wineries!) and her seating chart.

From Lindsay:
When I first met with Cassie to discuss wedding invites, I was completely clueless on how I wanted the invites to look. She came so prepared with tons of different samples, colours and fonts and made it really easy to narrow down and decide on the style I wanted and overall feel. Cassie was totally on the ball – whenever I had a question or concern, I would email her and hear back from her right away, which I really appreciated. She was really good at making sure the invites were exactly what I wanted. When I wasn’t sure on something, she was able to send me a sample with the different options I was considering, which also was really great. I received so many comments on how beautiful our invites were, and I couldn’t have been happier. I ended up also asking her to do our table names and seating chart, and they were perfect. Everything was consistent and beautiful! The final products and service was above and beyond and I am so thankful to have had Cassie take care of this special part of my day.

Thank you Lindsay for being an amazing client and I’m so thrilled with how everything turned out. We wish you two nothing but happiness in your new life together!
