Karla + Jeff

We love paper and design and we love couples who do too. This shared love is often the start of all the great relationships we have with our clients. Our most favourite part is when after the invites have gone out, couples tells us all the raves they get for their invites. What a way to get everyone excited for the big day, don’t you think?

Karla + Jeff approached us really early in their wedding planning process. Given that they’re from the east coast, they wanted to get their invites out the door with plenty of time for guests to make travel arrangements. They wanted a look that was modern, not too fussy and incorporated the colours of their florals. They also had a bunch of information to share and we went to work creating a suite that was beautiful to look at but also functional.

Focusing on the lovely look of watercolour and calligraphy, we used several design elements and paper colours to bring the whole design together, bound with a paper band.

Their invite had a ceremony/reception card, a details and map of things to do card, plus an postcard RSVP card.

The map was an important piece for Karla + Jeff as the majority of their guests would be coming to Vancouver for the first time. They really wanted to share with them what they loved about the city.

We just loved how this invite came together. When the bride tells you that her invites were her favourite part of the wedding planning process, we can’t help but feel pretty awesome about it all!
