ho Ho HO!

Or ha Ha HA for those particularly sensitive in Australia (Click here if you don't know what I'm talking about.) Anyway, now that Thanksgiving is over both in Canada and the US, I think it's safe to break out all things Christmas. Let's get started with some cheeky cards from Bumble Ink. //Read More

Five For Friday – In the Kitchen

In celebration of the US Thanksgiving, thought we'd break out the stationery to keep the cook organized. This holiday, impress the in-laws with skills not only in the seasoning department, but also the planning. Or for those with kitchen-phobia, motivate yourself to cook with some awefully cute kitchen cards. //Read More

Hina Aoyama

When I was young, someone gave me beautiful Chinese paper cuts (the art, not the swear-inducing accident). It seems I was in love with all things paper even back then. These pieces of paper art, delicately placed between two sheets of tissue paper were of traditional motifs brought to life using hundreds of intricate cuts. Mink

I'm sure we've all seen really great packaging for chocolate on the outside but what about designs on the inside, literally? The graphics on the bon bons from Mink really caught my eye not only because it's different but also really fun! //Read More

Grilled cheese sandwiches with Kraft Singles. The little party cubes with the laughing cow. Even my Dad would save the single serving cheese snack from his business trips coming home for me. And this was all before having tasted NON-processed cheese! //Read More

Winged Wheel – Wheeee!

The weather is dreary and depressing here in Vancouver. There's been a lot of rain and gray days and while I know complaining about rain in Vancouver is like complaining about traffic in NYC (in other words, pointless), I was in need of a pick me up. Winged Wheel to the rescue! //Read More

Also Pretty on the Outside

To build on yesterday's theme of packaging, thought I'd share more favourites that draw our eye in store. I had the chance to visit Phoenix a few weeks ago and walk the amazing Anthropologie store in the Scottsdale mall. Voluspa Candles and scents, another source for patterns, colour combos and "well put together" designs. //Read More
