Pike Place Market

by cassie on June 6, 2011

Last time, I wrote about the gourmet food tour with Savor Seattle and here are the pictures I took the next day while wandering Pike Place Market. It was perfect weather and as luck would have it, also the day of the Seattle Cheese Festival! Since I love both sunshine and cheese, it was a great way to end the trip.

There were two things I absolutely had to eat before I left: Beecher’s famous mac and cheese and chowder from Pike Place Chowder. The photos don’t do the dishes justice AT ALL but I swear it’s a must try if you’re there.

Because we’re a two hour drive from home with shopping stops along the way, it was difficult to buy anything fresh. So instead, these pictures are the best way to take a bit of the market home with me.

Cassie – thanks for bringing back such wonderful memories of my hometown Seattle from the clam chowder I grew up with to tulips we picked for our wedding! The photos are fantastic!

You’re welcome! Seattle must have been a great place to grow up and such a foodie town.
