Melbourne: Rebound

by christine on April 17, 2011

Natalie and Ben preserve the charm and nostalgia of old books by repurposing them into journals and diaries. Not just the hard covers, but the pages too. Their business is called Rebound –  and I had the pleasure of meeting Natalie at the Finders Keepers market to learn more.

Since 2005, Rebound has been making unique stationery out of discarded books. I just love how eclectic their display was at the market. Journals, sketchbooks, diaries, bookmarks, photo albums and more. If you’re lucky, some journals even have pages of the original book inserted throughout! All of the papers used in each book are also 100% recycled.

Nothing beats having a journal that’s disguised as your favourite childhood book. Mine would be the original yellow-spined Nancy Drew mysteries.

And remembering Cassie’s post back from 2009, it was only fitting that I bring back a unique piece for her from Rebound.

Inside the front cover…

Check out more of what Rebound has to offer…!

Cheers,
