Feature Studio – Eieio

I came across eieio studio while browsing the exhibitors of this year’s Stationery Show and instantly fell in love with their papers and boxes. It turns out that Jean Orlebeke, designer of eieio papers shares the same passion for gift wrap as I do. From the site:

eieio started with the idea that the paper which wraps a gift is like its skin. A package should capture the spirit of the gift, the giver, and the occasion. Research has confirmed that the paper which wraps a gift makes as much of an impression as the gift itself. In no uncertain terms, you are the paper you wrap with.

While you can buy their papers in single sheets you can also buy paper collections, which includes 18 sheets bound together like wallpaper samples.

eieio studio doesn’t just do gift wrap. They also have boxes, cards, mailing tubes, art and also custom design work. Do visit the site, it’s a feast for the eyes.

Here are some of my favourites:

Square Charm/Rect Stride Gift Box Set and Square Post/Rect Plummy Gift Box Set

Skydiving was never super high on my list of things to do but it seemed like a requisite bucket list item - one that should be checked off before I'm responsible for anything more than plants. // Read More
Shadows and Silhouettes
Silhouettes have been a pretty strong design trend over the past year and really, it's been a staple dating back to Victorian times. There's something really refined about silhouettes and a lot can be said without the finer details. // Read More
