Font Friday – May 28

Custom typefaces are nothing new but this brings personalization to a whole new level. A work in progress for designer Mary Huang, she’s in the midst of creating a a typographic photobooth that will translate your facial dimensions into a type design. It’s a pretty cool idea. And since the typeface is generated live as you type, the software is able to alter each character for variation – just like your real penmanship.

I wonder if it’d work if I made different faces. Then I could have Cassie Std, Cassie Happy, maybe Cassie Melancholy? Once her downloadable version is available, I’ll have to give it a try!
