Delicate Matters

by christine on April 7, 2010

For the past few months, I’ve been holding off from taking a letterpress course at Emily Carr. I would love to learn but I think it would only tempt me into purchasing such equipment. So instead, I think I’ll continue my hunt for letterpress goodies in the online community. Today, enjoy detailed views at cards from Letterpress Delicacies.

If the patterns look good without the letterpress effect, it’s worth a blog post! I say this because many “designers” hide behind what the computer can do for them. So I love it when designers show me sketches before the proposed final design. My friend once said that sketches should provide clients with enough information about their idea, without becoming emotionally attached to a certain type of font, an illustration style, a photo etc…

So I could only imagine the initial sketches for these… So much detail and time!

Letterpress Delicacies is based in Austin, Texas and hand prints all goods one at a time. Love the detailed shots of each card.
