For my wedding invitations, Cassie went all out and printed a pattern inside each envelope. I loved the look of surprise when my friends opened their invites. So I feel fortunate that we have such advanced inkjet printers to use at home to save on printing costs. Ahhh, it’s so much work to print, cut, score, fold and glue your own invites – but it’s worth it.
If it weren’t so expensive to print using an outside printer, I would go crazy with envelope liners! Or making my own custom envelopes. If you’re crafty and handy with a knife and ruler, the below liners should be simple to make – it’s just a matter of finding the right pattern and colour for that special occasion.
In searching Etsy online, I found these wonderful patterns that bring so much life and personality to each card. I think every envelope could use a surprise! And a good way to prevent see-through envelopes from revealing how much money is on that cheque… Take a peek at these various collections online by Earmark Gatherings, Simple Ink and Paper Source.
