Val’s Valentines

I had the chance to meet up with Val the other week for tea to catch up and pick up more cards for the year. It was good timing as I got to learn of her line of Valentine’s cards (and new photoshoot!) for V-Day – a day that’s coming oh-too soon.

I don’t know about you, but I’m at a point in my life where many friends are getting married. 3 weddings to attend this year – a fair amount, but enough for me to start keeping a lookout for nice wedding cards. Last year I was lucky to be in London, so it was easy to find nice cards. However, with a busy schedule and all, I wanted to save some time. So I decided to browse Designs By Val’s shop to stock up for the year.

One stop shopping. It took me 5 minutes to find the perfect cards for these upcoming weddings (not to mention the Mother’s Day cards I picked up too). The one thing that’s nice is that these cards are so versatile – they work for Valentine’s too. So with that said, I wanted to share with you some of the cute designs available today.

Nice new photos Val!

Val’s cards can be found online here, or at a variety of stores in Vancouver like Whole Foods and Front & Company.

Don’t forget to enter our Peter Pauper Contest here! It’s our last week of contests with them, so get your comments in before Friday end of day!

One of a Kind – The Beautiful Project
This was the first year I visited the One of a Kind show here in Vancouver and like Christine said, we checked out every booth diligently and methodically so that we wouldn't miss a thing. We spent quite a bit of time in the Hob Snobs booth, which is a Vancouver-based art and design collective. // Read More
