A couple years ago, I had the pleasure of designing all of Christine’s wedding collateral. It was an honour that she trusted me to look after one of the most important pieces of stationery in her life. From invites to thank you cards and everything in between, it was a total labour of love.
When it comes to invites, often there are a few enclosure pieces. I wanted to design it in such a way that everything can be kept together with no lost pieces. Hence the pocket idea. Like a set of matryoskhka dolls, each pocket contains another portion of the invite with the final inside piece being directions to the venue.
Another great aspect to this invite was the monogram I designed and had embossed on various pieces. The ‘c’ and ‘d’ fit together just as well as the bride and groom!
With light floral touches, fresh summer colours and classic linen paper, it truly embodied the personality of the wedding couple.
At the reception, each guest received a crossword made up of clues about the bride and groom. Since I love crosswords as well, this was a lot of fun to create!
I’ve done a couple others since then which I’ll try to post soon. Totally different styles but just as lovely. Until then!

I love, love, love the crossword puzzle idea! (Something for the guests to work on during the speeches…) Thanks for posting some wedding stuff, Cassie
Can’t wait to see more.
Thanks Kelly! The crossword was a good way to let the guests learn a bit more about the bride and groom and to keep them entertained while everyone settled in for the dinner.
