Making it to the Chapel on Time

I always appreciate invites that demonstrate thoughtfulness and courtesy. As convenient as Google Maps is, a map that’s included inside a wedding invite is handy when you’re in a rush.

There is so much opportunity to bring character to an invite with fun icons and images that guide guests in the right direction. It’s like a treasure map, only, the hidden treasure is the blooming love between the bride and groom. Sorry, too much cheese!

In surfing the web, a couple designers really stood out. The first being Sugar Plum Invitations. Key landmarks denoted by cute images made my eyes light up. So sweet with just a 2-colour design. Love it!

And koodos to Brooklyn Bride for featuring a couple maps from Mae Mae Paperie. Complementary colours and stylized streets. I can’t wait for my next wedding project!

It's a totally new role for me, a departure from what I've been doing for the past few years but I'm really excited about it. // Read More
