Enjoy Your Thanksgiving

by christine on October 12, 2009

Big family dinners, turkey to last you 2 weeks, Costco-sized pumpkin pie and a nice break from work. Not exactly good for my thigh-spread, but I am glad tights with big sweaters are in fashion now. In lieu of today’s Thanksgiving Holiday (for Canadians), I leave you with a feature on Red Stamp and the many cards induced by traditional Thanksgiving dinners roasting in the oven.

I am thankful for an open and caring family – one that you want to wash dishes for, bake and hug. And yes, this is one occasion where I actually obey my grandparents (for once) when they say “eat more”! Just for your reference, my grandparents only say 1 of 2 things and it’s “put on a sweater” (even if it’s 30 degrees outside) or “eat” (even when you’ve gobbled 2 plates worth of food and covering the plate with your hands).

But regardless, never ever forget to thank your family for being who they are. And more importantly, the host sacrificing his/her day to entertain. And with that said, Red Stamp is prepared with cards specifically for this occasion. For all Canadians reading this, enjoy your day off from work and don’t feel bad for feeling like that turkey on the table – that is, stuffed. Thanks for reading.

The inside of the below card reads, “Does this turkey make my butt look big”?
