No one really wants summer to end but for stationery geeks the fun of getting all new supplies to start the year made heading back to class a bit easier. Fresh unmarked pages ready for ideas, doodles and drawings. Agendas waiting for deadlines, due dates and social events. Don’t even get me started on fresh boxes of pens and markers!
While at Chapters the other night, I came across Ecojot – a Canadian company that makes bright and fun paper products that are 100% post-consumer recycled. The paper and board are acid-free and chlorine free, inks and glues are vegetable based, no new trees are used to make the paper and the paper mill is powered by biogas harnessed from a nearby landfill. On top of all this, they try to use as much locally made raw material as possible.
If I were heading back to school, my bag would be full of these goodies.
